Back in the sixties, many foreign tunes were remade in Czech language (partly because of the communist government restrictions) and some exquisite though little-known records were produced. We love these records and now we aspire to renew the tradition of quality Czechoslovak covers. Nina & Její Kapela are taking up the torch left behind decades ago by the legends of Czechoslovak soul and rhythm & blues such as Marie Rottrová, Pavel Novák or Jaromír Löffler. On the A side you can find a smooth Czech version of one of the greatest soul tunes that came out in recent years – My God Has A Telephone originally recorded by The Flying Stars of Brooklyn, NY. For those who love instrumental music, we produced a special heavy soul hammond version of the same song which is to be found on the B side.
